In some competitive events, diving distances are recorded on specific holes. With the Driving Distance station feature, volunteers can record those distances with the mobile app.
In this article, we will discuss how you can set up driving distance stations and allow volunteers to enter distances.
Setting Up Verification Stations:
To set up a driving distance station, follow these instructions:
Go to Rounds > Mobile App Stations.
Click "Add Driving Distance Station."
Enter the name of the station (e.g., BACC Hole 5, 18 Fairway, etc.).
Select the course for the station (if multiple courses are used in the round).
Select the hole the station is assigned.
Set and Adjustment if necessary. For example, if you have lines in the fairway that are measured from the USGA Yardage Marker Plate, but your tee marker is 6 yards behind that plate. You would want to apply an adjustment of +6 to the driving distance.
Click "Continue".
Repeat steps 2-7 for any additional stations.
Once a driving distance station is set up, you can access the GGID for that station by going to Rounds > Mobile App Stations (as shown below).
If managing an event using multiple courses, you can set up more verification
stations (if necessary).
