Instructions for Resolving Mixed Fields with Spouses

Updated over 4 months ago

(Note: This issue is only relevant for customers using Master Roster Sync.)

If you run into the scenario where spouses have their member information (e.g., email, custom fields, etc) "flip flopped" in the Master Roster, follow these instructions to correct the issue:

  1. Go to Master Roster > View Master Roster > Search “Last Name” of suspected member with inaccurate information.

  2. Verify which data points are inaccurate to determine the process to rectify (email, GHIN ID, etc).

  3. If email is inaccurate, Master Roster Sync must be disabled in order to “swap” emails because email is a field that is synced with your club website provider. Emails must be accurate in your club website provider's member roster before changing in Golf Genius. Go to Customer Settings > Integrations > Disable Roster Sync > Save.

  4. Update emails by going to Master Roster > View Master Roster > Search “Last Name” of Member with inaccurate information > Click on Handle you would like to edit > record email addresses prior to deleting > Delete email address > Delete email address for the other handle that needs to be adjusted. Now that both email addresses have been deleted, you can select one of the handles and enter the correct email and save. Then select the other handle, enter the correct email and save.

  5. If GHIN ID, Bag Storage or any other custom field is incorrect, these fields must be changed by clicking on the handle and making the edits.

  6. Now that the changes have been made, go to Customer Settings > Integrations > Enable Roster Sync > Save > Sync with your club website provider.

  7. Confirm fields are accurate. Go back to the Master Roster > View Master Roster > Search “Last Name” of Members whose profiles were just changed to ensure accuracy.
