Creating Rules Quizzes:

To create a rules quiz, follow these directions:

  1. From the Customer Center, navigate to Season Management > Quiz Management.

  2. Click "New Quiz" (as shown below).

  3. Enter the following:

    1. Name: Provide a descriptive name for your quiz. This will help you identify it later. Good names might include the topic (e.g., "Rules of Relief Quiz," "Pace of Play Quiz") or the intended audience (e.g., "Beginner Rules Quiz," "Club Championship Rules Quiz").

    2. Quiz Description: Describe this quiz that will appear at the top of the quiz, below the title. You can add text, images, hyperlinks, etc.

    3. Questions: This is the core of the quiz. Define the following:

      1. Number of questions on the quiz: Select the total number of questions you will add.

      2. Number of questions required to pass: Define the total number of questions the tester must get right to pass the quiz.

      3. Click "Choose Questions" to select the questions from your question bank that will be part of the quiz.

        1. Select the question by checking the box.

        2. Reorder questions by dragging them up or down.

        3. Click "Save" to select the questions for the quiz (as shown below).

      4. If you want to randomize the order of the selected questions, check the box "Randomize the order of the selected questions."

    4. Time Frame: Use the standard date/time pickers to select when the quiz becomes active or inactive. The date/time for becoming inactive can be left empty and edited later. The quiz will never become inactive if the inactive date is left empty.

    5. Custom Field: If you wish to track the results of a quiz in a golfer's Master Roster Player Profile, you can select an existing custom "yes/no" field or allow the system to create a custom field for you. Note: A custom field must be set if you wish to utilize the quiz for member eligibility criteria. Select from the following:

      1. Choose Custom Field to populate when a player passes the quiz: Select an existing custom field. Note: If you wish for a custom field to be created, leave this blank.

      2. Check the following boxes if necessary:

        1. Automatically create a new Yes/No custom field using the Quiz name: The system will create a new custom field based on the quiz name.

        2. Reset the Custom Field as 'No' when this quiz becomes inactive on the date chosen above: This option allows the custom field to be cleared when the quiz is inactive. It also enables the quiz to be utilized multiple times and requires the tester to take it each time before registering for an event.

    6. Pass/Fail Popup Configuration: After a player submits their quiz, a popup informs them whether they passed. This section allows you to customize the popup for both pass and fail.

    7. Quiz Visibility: You can choose whether the quiz's content is visible to players before they sign in and begin the quiz.

  4. Click "Save" to create the quiz. The created quiz will be added to your active quizzes.
