One of the most common formats of play is Match Play tournaments. A typical match play format is when a golfer (or golfers) plays directly against an opponent (or opponents) in a head-to-head match. You win a hole by completing it in the fewest strokes, and you win a match when you win by more holes than remain to be played.
This article will discuss how to set up this type of tournament and the options for entering results.
Setting up a Match Tournament:
To set up a Match tournament, go to the tournament setup and select Match as the format (as shown below).
Point and purse payouts can be awarded by the match and the hole (as shown below).
Match Tournaments can also be multi-round tournaments. For more details on setting up a multi-round tournament, Click Here.
Hiding Match Status on the Leaderboard:
In some cases, you may not want to display the match status (e.g., Tied, 1 up, 2 up, 3&2, etc.). In this case, you can hide the match status from the tournament "Advanced Display Settings." To hide the match display setting, follow these directions:
Within the tournament setup, click on "Display" (as shown below).
Check the option to "Hide match play status on the Leaderboards" (as shown below).
Click "Continue."
Make additional adjustments to the tournament as needed.
Click "Save."
