Purse Distribution Tables

If you award purse for your tournaments, you can set up custom distribution tables to be used for any of your events and leagues. These distribution tables allocate a certain % of the total pot for every awarded position. They can be set up using one of the following methods:

  • Fixed number of awarded positions: Award top X number of finishers regardless of field size.

  • Number of Awarded Positions based on Field Size: Different distribution tables will be used depending on the field size.

After setting up the distribution tables, they can be selected (and used) when setting up your tournaments.

In this article, we will discuss how to set up, manage, and use distribution tables.

Accessing Purse Distribution Tables:

To access and set up distribution tables, go to Customer Center > Customer Settings > Purse Distribution Tables.

There will be a default distribution table already available (as shown below). You can use (or edit) that distribution table or create a new one.


Creating Purse Distribution Tables with a Fixed Number of Awarded Positions:

As discussed above, you can create a distribution tables that awards a fixed number of positions, regardless of field size. To do this, follow these instructions:

  1. Click "New Purse Distribution Table".

  2. Name the distribution table.

  3. Enter a value to round to (optional).

  4. Select "Fixed Number of Awarded Positions".

  5. Enter the number of positions that should always be awarded, regardless of field size.

  6. Enter the percentage to be earned for every awarded position. The sum of all percentages for every position, should be 100.

  7. Click "Save" and the distribution table will be created.

Below is an example setup that awards the top 8 finishers:

Creating Purse Distribution Tables Based on Field Size:

As discussed above, you can create a distribution tables where the number of players/teams awarded dynamically changes depending on field size (size of flight or division). To do this, follow these instructions:

  1. Click "New Purse Distribution Table".

  2. Name the distribution table.

  3. Enter a value to round to (optional).

  4. Select "Number of Awarded Positions Based on Flight/Division Size".

  5. Enter the maximum number of players for the lowest field size range, the number of positions to award for that field size range, and the percentage to be earned for every awarded position. In the example below, the top three positions are awarded purse in cases where the field size is 10 or less.

  6. Click "New Purse Distribution Rule" and repeat step #5 for any additional field size ranges. Continue to add more rules until all field size range tables are added.

  7. Click "Save" and the distribution table will be created.

Below is an example setup that awards 3 positions when there are 10 or less players, 7 positions if there are 11-30 players, and 10 positions if there are 31-50 players.

Applying Purse Distribution Tables to Tournaments:

After setting up a distribution table, you can then use it for your tournaments. To do this, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to the tournament setup.

  2. Select "by Purse Distribution Table" in the "Purse & Points" dropdown.

  3. Enter the total pot of the purse.

  4. Select the desired distribution table.

  5. Save the tournament.

The setup below is using the "Default" Purse Distribution Table with the total purse of $500.

Managing Purse Distribution Tables:

After creating distribution tables, you can edit, view the summary, archive, or permanently delete them (as shown below).

When archiving, the distribution table will be hidden and not available to be used for tournaments. However, it can be recovered if necessary.

When viewing the summary, you can also produce it into a PDF to print (as shown below).
