Q: I have an event field and I'd like to have their state flag next to their names on the leaderboard. How can I do this?

A: Follow the instructions below:

  1. Go to Event > Event Profile > Tournaments and Scoring.

  2. Check the box and use the dropdown to select the option to display state flags on the leaderboard (as shown below).

  3. Save the selection.

  4. Go to Event > Custom Fields > New Custom Field to create the "State" custom field.

  5. Fill in the following:

    1. Question/Field: Set the name of the field to "State".

    2. Hint: Include a hint to instruct golfers on how to answer the questions (if necessary)

    3. Answer Type: Set "State" as the Answer Type (as shown below).

    4. Member Portal: Check this option to allow members to answer this question of the Golfers Profile in the Portal.

  6. Assign a state to your players using one of the two methods:

    1. Individually: Go to Golfers > Event Roster. Select a player, and select their state (as shown below). Save the selection.

    2. Via Spreadsheet: Go to Golfers > Download Roster to Spreadsheet. Enter the states abbreviation in the "State" custom field column. Save the spreadsheet. Go to Golfers > Upload Roster via Spreadsheet. Upload the spreadsheet back to the event. For more details on uploading event rosters via spreadsheet, Click Here.

After completing the steps above, stat flags will now be displayed in the following areas:

  • Manager Site Leaderboard

  • Printed Leaderboard

  • Mobile App Leaderboard

  • Portal Leaderboard

  • TV Display Leaderboard
