UTM and URL Parameters

You can (and should!) use UTM tags on Facebook if you are driving traffic from different ads to the same post id. When you do this, you can track organic traffic and conversions for each post, and paid traffic and conversions for each ad, ad set, and campaign!

  • First, go to your ads, and under Tracking go to the URL parameters section

UTM URL parameters
  • Paste this UTM Code in the URL parameters section:

utm_source={{placement}}&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign={{adset.name}}&utm_content={{ad.name}}&utm_id={{ad.id}}
  • Or you can build your own UTM Code using "Build a URL parameter"

  • You can go to Trackify analytics -> UTM-Parameters (change select UTM-parameters) for results

TrackifyX Report

  • There is a new Feature in TrackifyX so see the ads report within the interface of Trackify

  • The UTM parameter utm_id={{ad.id}} at the end of that URL is basically important for this feature.

  • You can manage your campaigns and see the Facebook reports within the interfaces at campaigns, ad sets, or ads level.
