How to setup snapchat custom audience with Trackify

Step 1: Open Snapchat Audience Builder in Trackify

  1. Go to Trackify X

  2. Select Snapchat

  3. Click on the Audience tab

  4. Click Create Custom Audience


Step 2: Fill Audience Details

In the Audience Details section:

  1. Audience Name

    • Give your audience a clear, descriptive name

    • Example: Snapchat – ATC – 30 Days

  2. Ad Account

    • Select the Snapchat Ad Account where the audience should be created

  3. Description (Optional)

    • Useful for internal reference


Step 3: Choose Whether to Add Shopify Customers

You will see the option:

“Do you want to add Shopify customers to the audience?”

You have two paths from here:


OPTION A: Select NO (Pixel / Rule-Based Audience)

Choose NO if you want to create an audience based on Snapchat Pixel events.


Step 4A: Retention and Source Type (Pixel)

  1. Retention in Days

    • Defines how long a user stays in the audience

    • Example: 30 days

    • Max supported: 9999 days

  2. Source Type

    • SAM: The Snapchat Ads product provides a way to target advertisements to a global audience and drive meaningful results. Segment's integration with Snapchat Ad's Snap Audience Match (SAM) enables Segment customers to sync audiences created in Engage with Snapchat Advertising.

    • Pixel: Pixel is whoever reached through a particular pixel


Step 5A: Create the Audience

  1. Review your settings

  2. Click Create Audience


OPTION B: Select YES (Shopify Customer Segment Audience)

Choose YES if you want to build an audience using Shopify customer data.


Step 4B: Retention and Source Type (Shopify Customers)

  1. Retention in Days

    • Number of days customers remain in the audience

    • Example: 180 days

  2. Source Type

    • Automatically set to SAM (First Party)

    • SAM = Snap Audience Match (first-party data)


Step 5B: Select Shopify Customer Segment

Choose one Shopify customer segment:

Available Segments

  • Customers who haven’t purchased
    → Great for first-purchase or acquisition campaigns

  • Customers who have purchased at least once
    → Ideal for upsells and repeat purchase ads

  • Customers who have purchased more than once
    → High-value / loyal customers

  • Abandoned checkouts in the last 30 days
    → Strong retargeting audience

  • Email subscribers
    → Warm audience for promotions and launches


Step 6B: Create the Audience

  1. Confirm your selected segment

  2. Click Create Audience

Facebook and TikTok platforms also have custom audience builders, must check this feature.
