This article explains how to use the proprietary data that Trackify sends with your Facebook Pixel events to build powerful Custom Audiences. You can use these audiences for retargeting, exclusions, and as base audiences for Lookalike Audiences.
Step 1: Navigate to Custom Audience Builder
Go to Trackify → Facebook
Click on Audience
Click Create Custom Audience
You will now see the Custom Audience Builder.
Step 2: Fill in Audience Details
Fill in the basic details:
Audience Name – Give your audience a clear, descriptive name
(Example:ATC – Last 30 Days)Ad Account – Select the Facebook ad account where the audience will be created
Step 3: Choose “Create Audience By”
Trackify now supports two ways to create audiences:
Option A: Create Audience by Rule
(Used for pixel-based and behavior-based audiences)
Option B: Create Audience by Shopify Customer Segment
(Used for Shopify customer-based audiences)
Choose one based on your use case.
OPTION A: Create Audience by Rule (Pixel-Based Audiences)
Use this option when you want to build audiences based on pixel events, event parameters, or URLs.
Step 4A: Select Pixel
Choose the Facebook Pixel you want to use
This pixel will be the data source for the audience
Step 5A: Choose Filter Options
Select one of the following:
1. Event-based
Use this when building audiences from pixel events such as:
PageView
ViewContent
AddToCart
InitiateCheckout
Purchase
Custom events
2. URL-based
Use this when building audiences from page URLs (example: thank-you pages, landing pages)
⚠️ You cannot mix Event-based and URL-based filters in the same audience.
Step 6A: Select Event Types (Event-Based Only)
Choose at least one event.
Common examples:
PageView – Any page visit
ViewContent – Product page views
AddToCart – Add to cart actions
InitiateCheckout – Checkout started
Purchase – Completed orders
Step 7A: Define Audience Rules
Choose how rules should be matched:
Any rule – User matches at least one rule
All rules – User must match every rule
Example Rule Types
1. Filter by Product ID
Field:
content_idsCondition:

Use case: Retarget viewers of a specific product.
2. Filter by Tracking Tags
Field:

ContainsValue: Tracking tag (example:
pp_winter)
Use case: Retarget a specific product niche.
3. Filter by Time & Date Data

Use case: Advanced segmentation based on visit time.
Step 8A: Select Lookback Period
Choose how long users stay in the audience:
Available options include:
1, 3, 7, 14, 30, 60, 90, 120, 180 days
You must select at least one lookback period.
Step 9A: Create Audience
Click Create Audience.
The audience will be created inside your Facebook Ad Account.
OPTION B: Create Audience by Shopify Customer Segment
Use this option when you want to create audiences based on Shopify customer data, not pixel events.
Step 4B: Select Shopify Customer Segment
Choose one of the available segments:
Available Segments
Customers who haven’t purchased
Useful for prospecting or first-purchase campaigns.Customers who have purchased at least once
Ideal for repeat sales or upsells.Customers who have purchased more than once
High-value or loyal customer targeting.Abandoned checkouts in the last 30 days
Strong retargeting audience for recovery campaigns.Email subscribers
Great for re-engagement or promotional campaigns.
Step 5B: Create Audience
Click Create Audience.
The audience will sync to Facebook automatically.
Snapchat and TikTok platforms also have custom audience builders, must check this feature.
