Common Reasons for Duplicate Events
If you see the same event firing more than once, check the places below.
1. Facebook & Instagram Sales Channel
This is the most common reason for duplicate events.
Shopify’s Facebook & Instagram sales channel adds the pixel automatically
Both systems send the same events
What to do
Remove the pixel from the Facebook & Instagram sales channel
orTurn off pixel tracking inside that channel
2. Pixel Code Added in theme.liquid
Sometimes pixel code is added manually in the theme.
Where to check
Go to Online Store → Themes → Edit Code
Open
theme.liquid
What to do
Remove any Facebook Pixel code you see
Trackify will add everything automatically
3. Google Tag Manager (GTM)
If Facebook Pixel is added through Google Tag Manager, it can cause duplicates.

What to do
Remove or disable Facebook Pixel tags in GTM
Keep GTM only for other tools (like Google Analytics)
4. Other Marketing or Tracking Apps
Some apps ask for your Facebook Pixel ID.
Important rule
Apps using your pixel can cause duplicate events
What to do
Turn off Facebook Pixel tracking in other apps
Let only Trackify send Facebook events
