TradeZella supports importing trades from TD Direct Investment using three different file formats. For a successful import, ensure the header of your exported file matches one of the provided formats. Below are the instructions to guide you through the process:
Exporting trade data from TD Direct Investment into a file
Login to TD Advanced Dashboard
Access Historical Orders
Click on Historical Orders.
Choose Custom Date Range.
The initial date should be the account’s inception date. Go as far back as the system allows, and set the end date to today’s date.
Select YES under Order Detail.
Export as CSV
Click on the gear icon next to Account Detail and select Export List as CSV.
Uploading the exported file into TradeZella
Visit the TradeZella Add Trade page here or by clicking the “Add Trade” button on the sidebar.
On the Add Trade page, click “Add New Account” if you’re creating a new account for these trades.
If you’re uploading trades to an existing account, simply click on the “Add Trades” button in the account field:
On the Add New Account page, select TD Direct Investment as the broker and click Continue.
Next, select the File Upload method and click Continue again.
On the final step, select the timezone of the file and upload the file. The system will handle the rest.
