With our straightforward guide, you can easily import your trades from CQG Desktop into TradeZella. Follow these steps to ensure your trading data stays accurate and up-to-date.

Exporting trade data from CQG into a file

  • Log in to your CQG Desktop account by visiting CQG Desktop Login.

  • Navigate to the Orders Filled tab on the CQG Desktop.

👉 Ensure the columns displayed match the view in the following: Account | Status | B/S | Qty | UnFld | Symbol | Avg Fill P | Type | LMT P | DUR | Fld | Place T | # | User | Fill T | Fee

  • Click on the three dots icon next to the Orders Filled Tab and select "Download orders in view" from the dropdown list.

  • Save the downloaded file to your desktop. It will be in .xlsx format and ready to upload to TradeZella.

Tip: If you want to select a specific date range for your export, adjust the date settings in CQG Desktop before downloading the file.

Uploading the exported file into TradeZella

  • Visit the TradeZella Add Trade page here or by clicking the “Add Trade” button on the sidebar.

  • On the Add Trade page, click “Add New Account” if you’re creating a new account for these trades.

If you’re uploading trades to an existing account, simply click on the “Add Trades” button in the account field:

  • On the Add New Account page, select CQG as the broker and click Continue.

  • Next, select the File Upload method and click Continue again.

  • On the final step, select the timezone of the file and upload the file. The system will handle the rest.

Common Errors

  • To ensure a successful import, your CQG Desktop export should have the following headers.

    • Account | Status | B/S | Qty | UnFld | Symbol | Avg Fill P | Type | LMT P | DUR | Fld | Place T | # | User | Fill T | Fee
