Importing Your Trades into TradeZella: A Step-by-Step Guide

Effortlessly import your trades into TradeZella using one of the following methods: File Upload, Broker Sync, or Manual Trade Upload.


We'll guide you through the simple steps to get started.

To begin importing your trades

  1. Go to your TradeZella dashboard.

  2. Click "+ Add Trade".

  3. Choose your import method.

Choose from one of three ways to import your trades, explained below.


File Import Method:

Prefer to upload a file? Follow these steps:

  1. Export: Download your trade history as a CSV file from your broker. (Need help? We have guides for each broker.)

  2. Upload:

    • Click "+ Add Trade" > "File Upload".

    • Select your account and broker from the dropdown menus.

    • Choose the timezone of the CSV file.

    • Drag and drop your CSV file into the designated area.

  3. Review: View your imported trades in your Trade Log πŸŽ‰

Broker Connection Method

For seamless integration and automatic updates, connect directly with your broker:

  1. Start the connection:

    • Click "+ Add Trade" > "Broker Sync".

    • Click "Add New Broker".

    • Select your broker from the list. πŸ‘‰ Currently, we support the following brokers for the broker sync method. If you don’t see your broker here, you can simply use the file upload method.

  2. Choose import options:

    • Select whether to import all trade history or start from a specific date.

  3. Authorize: Enter your broker login credentials and authorize the connection.

  4. Check status: In the "Broker Sync" section, view the status of your connection and upcoming sync dates.

Manual Trade Entry

Want to add trades one by one? Here’s how:

  • Select an Account:

    • Choose the TradeZella account where you want to add the trade manually.

  • Choose Trade Type:

    • Pick from Stock, Option, Future, Future Option, Forex, or Crypto.

  • Input the Symbol:

    • Enter the symbol of the traded asset.

  • Add Execution Details:

    • Click on "Create new execution."

    • Enter the date and time of execution.

    • Input the quantity.

    • Input the price.

    • Add commission and fees, if any.

    • Note: You have to enter both the buying and selling executions individually.

    • Depending upon the assets you choose, it will ask for extra execution details such as Contract multiplier, number of contracts, expiration date, strike price, etc.

  • Save Your Trade:

    • Click the "Save Trade" button to finish.
