Ready to issue your first Agreement as a Grantor in Tressl? Follow this quick guide to get started with ease.

Updated over 9 months ago

👉 The guide below will help you get started with issuing your first agreement — from reviewing the Applicant’s submitted project, to requesting any necessary changes, to issuing the Agreement for Partial Execution in line with the project details provided.

Step 1: Receiving the Proposed Project

When an Applicant submits a proposed project to your Organization, you'll receive either an in-app notification or an email letting you know a new project is pending approval.

  • In-app notifications (at the top-right corner) will alert you when a Grantee Organization creates a project.

  • Email notifications will be sent if you're not currently in the app.

To locate the project:

  • Navigate to your Inbound view to search by project number, Applicant name, or submission date.

  • You can also browse the eRoad or eCrossing Inventories under Inventory, depending on the type of request submitted.

  • Note: Rush requests always appear at the top of the list.

Step 2: Reviewing the Project

Open the Project and select the relevant eRoad or eCrossing requests to begin your review. Compare the submitted details with the Plan and request letter, and conduct your usual due diligence.

Step 3: Navigating the Agreement Stepper

Once your Request(s) are ready for a Document Response, the Recommended Action banner at the top will guide you into the Agreement workflow.

  1. The Agreement workflow includes four steps for the Crossing module and five steps for Road Use.

  2. The additional Road Use step involves managing your Agreement Rates (e.g., Initial Consideration and monthly Maintenance fees).(📌Check out how to Manage your Rates.)

1. Select Template & Assign File Number

Choose your Agreement template and assign a file number if you need it to match internal records. If you skip this, Tressl will auto-generate one.

2. Select Requests

Choose which request(s) to include in your Agreement. You can issue a separate document response for each or combine them into one Agreement.

  • Only Requests ready for Document Response will appear by default.

  • Click “Show all requests” to view the rest.

3. Fill Out Agreement Details

Complete all required fields (e.g., assign a Field Representative, attach the Plan or supporting documents).

  • You can review linked requests at this step to confirm coverage.

  • The Required Actions widget (top-right corner) will show any missing steps.

Once all actions are complete and the red widget turns green, your Agreement is ready to be approved and sent for Partial Execution.

The Applicant will be notified via email or in-app that the Agreement is ready for their signature.

  • Project status: In Progress

  • Agreement status: Awaiting Applicant Execution

Step 4: Partial and Full Execution

Once the Applicant (Grantee) has partially executed the Agreement, you’ll receive a notification that it’s ready for Full Execution.

Proceed with the final steps. Once fully executed, the Agreement will be stored in your Agreement Inventory.
