Create System Roles

Roles determine the areas of the Rota King solution a user can access, as well as the permission levels within those areas

System users' access is restricted by roles, departments, divisions, and locations. Roles determine whether a system user can access the configure portal and the level of access they have within it.


How do I set up a system role

  1. Go to System Roles in the configuration(the cog icon in the top right-hand corner).

  2. Click Create Role.

  3. Give the role a name and choose whom the role should report to.

  4. Grant the role access to the configure portal if necessary, then click Create. The new role will appear under Roles.

  5. Click on the role you just created, go to the Configure tab, and adjust the accessibility settings. Then click Update.

  6. You can also click on Clone Role to clone the role and adjust the configure settings for a new role.
