Clocking codes are used by employees to clock in and out, recording their worked hours. You can customise the clocking rules, create clocking codes, and renew them if necessary.
Go to General Setting in the configuration(the cog icon in the top right-hand corner), and head to the Clocking section.
Tick Clocking Enabled to allow the creation of clocking code. Once the clocking is enabled, you can generate clocking codes moving forward.
Go to Locations in the configuration.
Select the location which needs a clocking code.
Choose the suitable option in the Clocking Method, and then click Update. The Clocking tab will then appear.
Go to the Clocking tab and click on Add Location Code.
Give the location code a name and set up the rules as needed, then click Add.
Require Date of Birth Check: Employees will be asked to enter their date of birth to clock in.
Never: Employees are not required to enter their date of birth when clocking in.
Outside Allowed Locations: Employees will be required to enter their date of birth only when clocking in from a location that is not on the list of allowed locations
Always: Employees will be required to enter their date of birth every time they clock in.
Geolocation: Employees are required to clock in and out at a designated location, and the geographic coordinates must be added for that location.
Not Enabled: Geolocation is not used. Employees can clock in or out from any location without restrictions.
Requested: Employees will be asked to share their location when clocking in or out, but it is not mandatory.
Required: Employees must be at a designated location and share their geolocation to successfully clock in or out.
Require Image: Employees must upload a picture to clock in.
Click the cog icon where you can see 5 different functions:
Edit: The section where you can update the clocking rules.
Generate QR: Allows you to generate and download the clocking QR code.
Copy to Clipboard: Copies the clocking URL to your clipboard.
Refresh: Generates a new URL, and the previous clocking code will expire.
Delete: Removes the location code.
