What is geolocation
Geolocation ensures that employees clock in and out only when they are physically present at a designated work location. This helps maintain accurate attendance records and prevents clocking from unauthorised locations.
How to enable geolocation
When creating a clocking code, enable the geolocation:
Not Enabled: Geolocation is not used. Employees can clock in or out from any location without restrictions.
Requested: Employees will be asked to share their location when clocking in or out, but it is not mandatory.
Required: Employees must be at a designated location and share their geolocation to successfully clock in or out.
If you choose Required from the Geolocation drop down box then the Maximum Allowed Distance box will pop up and it will allow you to set the distance that suits you. Click update to save changes.
⚠️Please note:
Geographic coordinates must be added for the location where the geolocation is applied.
Employees must ensure that their browsers have permission to access their location information.
