How to set up a dashboard

Here is a step-by-step guide for setting up a dashboard:

  1. Go to Roles in the configure portal.

  2. Click on the required role and hover over the Dashboard tab.

  3. Tick the Access Dashboard box. Enabling dashboards will default the dashboard as the landing page in the monitor portal.

  4. Select a root entity you want to view in your dashboard.

  5. Select the desired location depth, and then click Save. This will jump you back to the Roles page.

  6. Go back to the role, and add the widgets by selecting the necessary widget and then clicking the plus button.

  7. To adjust the widget order, hold the cross icon and drag it up or down.

  8. To rename the widget, click on the pencil icon and edit the label.

  9. You can set a default date range for specific widgets, like audits and calendars. Just click the cog icon, choose your desired date range, and save. Additionally, you can allow users to modify the widget parameters displayed on their homepage individually.

  10. To remove the widgets, just simply click on the bin icon.

Once it is set up, users who have the assigned role will see the dashboard appear on the home page in the monitor portal.
