What is an anonymous user
An anonymous user is a user type that allows external individuals to access certain features, like public forms, without needing to log in.
Common use cases for an anonymous user include:
Guest feedback
Maintenance requests
Surveys
Visitor logs
And other public-facing interactions
How to create an anonymous user
1. Create a role
Before creating an anonymous user, you'll need to set up a new role. This helps separate external users from internal ones and ensures the anonymous user has limited access within Logit.
Go to Roles in the configure portal.
Click Add Role.
Name the role "Anon User" and enable their access to the monitor portal.
Once the role is created, you can customise its access based on your needs.
2. Create the responsibility
Go to Responsibilities in the configure portal.
Click Add Responsibility.
Name the responsibility "Anon User".
3. Create an anonymous user
Go to Users in the configure portal.
Click Add Anonymous User.
Name the anonymous user.
Assign the user the "Anon User" role and the corresponding "Anon User" responsibility that were created in the previous steps.
Attach required locations.
Add necessary departments. For example, if the anonymous user is expected to complete a Guest Feedback form managed by the Housekeeping department, make sure to add Housekeeping to the user’s profile.
Click Create.
Once the anonymous user is created, you can assign jobs intended for public access, such as the Guest Feedback form, the Maintenance Request, and the Visitor Log.
