What is a report dashboard
Report dashboards break down performance reports or properties reports into key metrics, such as scores, RAG status, and performance across sites, and display them visually to help users quickly identify gaps and take actions to improve operations.
Unlike the monitor dashboard, widgets on the report dashboard are created, defined, and assigned to the appropriate dashboard within the Reporting Portal.
How to set up a report dashboard
Go to Roles in the configure portal.
Click on the required role and hover over the Dashboard tab. You can see two dashboards: Monitor Portal Dashboard and Report Portal Dashboard. Turn on the access to Report Portal Dashboard.
💡Enabling dashboards will default the dashboard as the landing page in the report portal.
You can add multiple dashboards. Click Add Dashboard and give the dashboard a name.
Then edit the dashboard and set up an AI prompt so that both the data and the prompt can be copied and fed to an AI tool for analysis once the board is set up.
To adjust the dashboard order, hold the cross icon and drag it up or down.
To rename a dashboard, click on the pencil icon and edit the label.
To remove a dashboard, just simply click on the bin icon.
With desired dashboards set up, it's time to go to the Reporting Portal to add the widgets.
💡Please note
Report dashboards break performance reports or properties reports (e.g., asset properties report, location properties report) into key metrics, so widgets can only be created from those reports.
When you land on the Dashboard section, a prompt message will appear explaining how to add widgets. Clicking on Supported Reports will navigate you to the performance reports.
Here we are going to use the check performance report as an example.
Select Check Performance.
Run the desired report, open the 3-dot menu and select Add to Dashboard.
Then a widget configuration box will pop up.
Name the widget and choose to which dashboard this widget should be added.
Choose the desired widget type and data.
KPI - This allows you to exact and add a single key performance metric to the dashboard. You can also compare it with previous period.
High and Low Performance - This captures and displays sites with the highest or lowest performance on the dashboard based on a selected performance target.
RAG Status - A status indicator that uses colours (Red, Amber, Green) to quickly show the overall performance across sites.
Chart - Specifies how check performance will be displayed, such as in a pie chart, doughnut chart, or bar chart.
Time Series - Shows trends or changes across dates or periods.
Once the widget is added, it will appear on the dashboard immediately.

How to edit a widget
If you want to edit or remove a widget, open the 3-dot menu to enter the edit mode.
Locate the widget and open the 3-dot menu to edit or delete. You can hold the cross icon and adjust the position of the widget.
Once done, click the tick icon to save the changes and exit the edit mode.
💡Tip
How to use AI to analyse the data
Please edit the dashboard and set up the AI prompt in the Configure Portal.
Once completed, a shortcut key for copying the data and AI prompt will appear on the dashboard.
Click the AI icon to retrieve the data. Then copy the data and prompt into an AI tool to generate the analysis.
How to use snapshot
The Snapshot feature allows users to capture and save the current state of a dashboard within the system. Saved snapshots can be reloaded later, enabling users to compare historical data from a previous period with current dashboard data.
Here are the steps:
Open the 3-dot menu.
Select Save Snapshot.
Give the snapshot a name. Then click Save Snapshot.
To reload the snapshot, simply select Load Snapshot and choose the snapshot you wish to review.
To exit the snapshot, move to the snapshot tab and click cross.
