Archive an active asset

You can change the status to unavailable when the asset is not in use

Updated over 5 months ago

You can archive an active asset when it is no longer in use, helping to keep your asset management organised and ensuring that only relevant assets are actively tracked.

Good to know:

  • The department cannot be updated as it is locked for editing. If a department change is required, please decommission the asset and rebuild it.

How to deactivate an asset

  1. Go to Assets in the configure portal.

  2. Search the asset and hit Edit.

  3. Select Unavailable in the Status.

  4. Select one of the options works to you.

Did you know...?

  • Updating an asset will allow you to

    • Change the Type ( the group where the asset is located)

    • Alter the Name

    • Alter the Location of asset

    • Change the Status

      • Available

      • Unavailable (several options to deactivate the asset)

  • When assets are created or modified, the changes will automatically apply to future checks. For existing checks, open the check, click the settings icon, and select 'Reset' to apply the changes.
