Newsletter October 2023

Updated over a year ago

Greetings!

Can you believe Summer is over and Fall is well on its way - where does the time go? The Logit team have been busy beavers enhancing our software so that it's always better than ever.

There have been many features added to the system over the past few months. We've provided details on some of the key enhancements below. Please take a few moments to review the information as there are some really awesome improvements you're sure to love - and they'll probably make your workday all that much easier!

Requests Upgrade

Fantastic news to see a few minor tweaks to the request module with a huge impact on the user journey, with 2 focal on prioritising requests and a gallery view of images.

We have already seen a huge uptake on these features spanning across

  • Maintenance

  • Lost Property

  • IT Requests

  • Compliant Handling

  • Incident Management and more

Priorities

What are they?

Priorities are the new icon set at the top of the requests and action management page. They are designed to allow your team to quickly filter in the monitor portal to focus on critical issues and take swift action. Each request and action has a custom set of priority tags grouped by the universal icon.

How do I set them up?

Getting these setup has never been easier, a quick search for our article

will guide you through the initial steps to set priorities on actions and requests.

Can I re-lable them?

Of course, head to the Priorities tab on the action or request and define the wording best suited to the needs, this will pull through to your tiles and reports but still be defined by the 4 icons as the original hierarchy

The priority level can even be set directly from a triggered question within the form to update the required level of urgency

Once in place, your team can quickly review in the reporting portal all relevant tagged requests and actions for quick filtering and analysis

Requests Gallery View

The request listing page now features a new toggle button on the top right corner of the screen that takes the user from the traditional details listing view of events to one focused on the images in a gallery-style grid display.

The gallery cards show the primary image taken with the overlaid priority icon if in place. Where there is no image attached the camera icon will display, the title is shown along with the date and comment count below the image. This new view works with all existing filters in place

Meet the team

Kheil Thorn, Implementation Consultant

Kheil has been with Logit for nearly a year now (how time flies) and our team couldn't do what we do without him. You may have worked with Kheil during implementation of the system or he may support your team whenever help is required or questions need answered. Speaking of questions...we asked Kheil a few and his responses explain why we're so lucky to have him on our team.

1. Why did you choose to work in a customer support/implementation role?

I've always gravitated toward customer-facing jobs. For this role, it' a mix of helping to resolve problems and looking back after a successful implementation and seeing the difference it makes.

2. What’s the one thing you like most about your role with Logit?

I enjoy the versatility of it. No two customers ever want the same thing and even if they do, they want it set up in different ways. Using and pushing the system to make sure everyone is happy at the end of the day is one of my favourite parts.

3. What’s the secret to improve a customer’s experience?

Everyone’s secret is going to be different but good, quick, clear communication is non-negotiable in my eyes. Alongside that, wanting your client to succeed helps a lot - it makes you want to go above and beyond to get things up and running for them, which hopefully improves their experience that little bit more.

4. Is there one common question or issue that customers approach you about?

I’ll give you one of both. The most common question is definitely what happens when the EHO come around, and that’s when we point everyone to the “Oh no, it’s the EHO” article which covers all the questions. Most common issue – something I’ve fallen for on more than one occasion - is not seeing your checks/requests/audits and, more often than not, it’s because there was a filter on which was hiding everything in the background the whole time.

5. If you were a superhero, what power would you possess?

Are you trying to trick me into saying a power to give me more powers because no one will like that answer… I think some form of telekinesis would be great. It would let me do two things I want superpowers for – fly and float things to myself while sitting on a sunny beach somewhere tropical.

Did you know?

Reporting update to Check and Audit Performance Drilldown

Logit has updated the performance reporting, this new feature allows you to click directly in the tile to display all relevant checks accumulated to that specific score!

Simply clicking view will take you directly back to the event to detail required, leave comments and updates, or even take action directly to specified users.

Picklists on Repeating Sections

Within Repeating Questions on forms, users can now configure these to work with a fixed list of options rather than the user having to type a name each time – this can be useful for supplier deliveries or food items where the list of possible items is closed as it saves the user having to type each time, instead, they pick from the list.

With the addition of remembering the entry of information, this is proving powerful for teams completing repetitive tasks and reducing time for data entry

Analysing your Audits

A new release saw an upgrade to the Audit export allowing you to analyse your data more efficiently. From the export tab select your dates and audit required then download.

This report now allows you to view all audits associated with

  1. answer responses

  2. answer scores

  3. section scores

Driving into the relevant data to help your team focus on the key areas of concern

But wait...there's more!

ETI Bluetooth Probe Integrations

You can now link ETI Bluetooth devices to pull on-demand probe temperatures of food straight into their Logit form via a Bluetooth connection between the browser and the device.

First a temperature within a form or Asset / Location property can be enabled for integration, with options for making this mandatory (reading must come from the device) or optional (user can still free type the value). Once set up, a new button is shown on the form. Clicking this will open a browser popup to connect to a nearby ETI device if not already paired, and take an instant temperature reading. If the device is already paired, subsequent temperatures are taken at the point the user clicks the temperature button.

Functionality is only supported on Chrome and Edge browsers on Windows or Android devices.

Live From Hospitality Tech Live 2023!

The Logit team was out in full force at the Hospitality Tech Live Expo on 10-11 October at the London ExCel. The event was outstanding with cutting-edge tech providers - from single sandwich shops to the mighty Green King and everything in between. The turnout was spectacular and our superhero-themed stand really captured people's attention!

Our team were kept on their toes with endless conversations about Logit superheroes and what we bring to the ever expanding world of software in hospitality. We were pleased to catch up with some of our customers and proud to have managed to reach out to so many in one place. We'll definitely be returning in 2024 and hope to see you there.

We hope you found the information above useful, and will have more to share with you before the holiday season. If you have any questions, please contact your friendly support team at support@trisaas.com.
