Template smartboards

What is a template smartboard and when do I use it?

Updated over 4 months ago

A 'Template' smartboard works very similarly to Location & Asset smartboards, they still monitor properties and provide you an easy view of dates/status' or numbers (depending on the board).

The only different to a 'Template' is you can have multiple asset groups or documents all on the 1 board as long as the properties assigned to all of the above stem from the same template that is created.

An 'Asset' Monitored smartboard will only allow you to link 1 asset group to 1 board, if you need to link multiple asset groups to the 1 board, then template board is going to work best!

How do I set up a template calendar?

2. Assign template to asset groups / business entities / Documents

3. Create form and link properties to form (Location form)

4. Turn form into a record

5. Create SmartBoard (Item to monitor - Template)

- Ensure you have the monitored property as the property which you linked to form
