1. Commodity Dimension Search + Enhancements (Pro Tier) (Video)
We’ve made powerful upgrades to the Commodity Database—especially for carriers who handle oversized or specialized loads.
Why it matters:
If you regularly haul large, complex equipment, you know how critical it is to track accurate dimensions, customer-specific details, and supporting attachments. This release gives you better tools to search, filter, and plan accordingly.
Highlights:
Filter by Length, Width, Height, and Weight
Easily find commodities with similar dimensions to help with routing, quoting, and load planning.New table logic for dimension columns:
Length & Weight: summed across all commodities listed on the order or trip
Width & Height: show the maximum value listed on the order or trip
Customer-linked commodities:
You can now assign commodities to a specific customer. This is great for tracking variations in similar equipment used across multiple clients.One-click access to attachments:
View spec sheets, photos, or documents using the new paperclip icon from the commodity table or when adding commodities to order or trip.New filters and columns available:
Dimensions (L/W/H)
Weight
Quantity
2. Trip Hours for Hourly Driver Pay and Billing (Video)
Carriers that pay drivers by the hour or bill customers based on time can now track trip hours directly in the system—saving time and improving consistency.
How it works:
A new Trip Hours field appears on each trip, next to loaded and empty miles.
If the driver is paid hourly, this value is used automatically when you click Calculate in the driver pay modal.
Hours also carry over into settlements, with override options if needed.
When invoicing by the hour, a calculator icon in the Advanced Rates table lets you pull total hours from all trips on an order.
3. Auto-Calculate Driver Pay upon Trip Delivery (Video)
No more forgetting to hit “Calculate.” Driver pay will now auto-calculate when a trip is marked as Delivered—helping your team get settlements done faster.
How it works:
Once a trip is marked Delivered, driver pay will be auto-calculated if:
A driver is assigned to the trip
Driver pay hasn’t already been set
The driver has a pay default set in their profile
All required info (e.g., miles, rate, hours) is filled in
Note: If you want to disable this feature, go to Settings > App Settings > Auto-calculate driver pay on delivered trips
4. New Optional Order-Level Fields (Video)
You can now enable additional fields on orders to track key shipment details—like BOL number, PO number, project number, and reefer temperature. These fields help standardize documentation and give you more control over the data you track for each order.
How to enable:
Go to Settings > Dispatch
Under Optional Order Fields, choose which of the following to turn on:
BOL Number
PO Number
Project Number
Reefer Temperature
What it does:
Once enabled, these fields will appear:
On order and quote creation forms
In the order table as optional columns and filters
In the order overlay
New order margin column
You can now add Order Margin as a new column on the Orders table
Order margin = Revenue - Driver trip pay - payable amount on brokered orders - sum of other expenses added to trip(s)
5. New Optional Trip Table Columns (Video)
You know have four new optional columns you can choose to view on the Trips Table:
Empty Miles
Loaded Miles
Trip Hours
Trip Notes
You can now add these to your custom view for quick spot-checking—no need to open each trip to review the details.
6. Expanded Financial Tracking for Maintenance & Expenses (Video)
You can now track vendor companies, division, and financial details like GL accounts, categories, and classes across Maintenance and Other Expenses.
Vendor Companies: Create and link vendors directly to work orders or expenses. A new Vendors tab has been added to the Companies page.
To enable, go to Settings > App Settings > Enable Vendor Companies.
New Financial Fields: When creating or editing work orders or expenses, you’ll now see:
Division (if applicable)
Vendor
Submitter
GL Account
Category
Class (if connected to QBO or using Truckbase invoices)
New Classes Tab: A new Classes tab is now available under Invoices for managing internal class codes (if not using QuickBooks Online).
7. Auto-Populate Trailer Field on Split Loads (Video)
For FTL users, trailers now auto-populate across all trip segments when splitting a load—saving you time and reducing manual entry.
How it works:
When you split a load and a trailer is assigned to the first trip, that same trailer will now automatically copy to all new trip segments.
You can still manually override the trailer on any segment if it changes mid-route.
Deleting a segment will not remove trailer info from the remaining trips.
Note: This functionality is not applicable to those using the LTL module.
