Summary

The Activity Log gives you a history of changes made to orders and trips. It shows what field changed, when it changed, and who made the change, helping teams improve visibility, accountability, and troubleshooting.

Before you start

Requirements

  • Access to the TruckBase web app

  • An existing Order or Trip

Permissions

  • You must have permission to view Orders and Trips.

  • Visibility depends on your role’s access to those records.

Plan limitations

  • The Activity Log may need to be enabled by TruckBase. Contact support if you don’t see it.

Any setup needed

  • No setup is required once the feature is enabled for your account.


Step-by-step

View the Activity Log on an order

  1. Open an Order from the Orders tab.

  2. Select the Activity Log tab within the order overlay.

  3. Review the list of changes, including:

    • Field updates

    • User who made the change

    • Date and time of the update


View the Activity Log on a trip

  1. Open a trip from the Dispatch tab.

  2. Select the Activity Log tab within the trip overlay.

  3. Review changes made to trip-related fields such as:

    • Driver

    • Trailer

    • Other associated trip fields


Troubleshooting

I don’t see the Activity Log tab

  • The feature may not be enabled for your account.

  • Contact TruckBase support to have it turned on.

How can I get more specific details?

  • The Activity Log tracks general field changes. If you're looking for details on specific changes, reach out to support@truckbase.com.

  • Use the Activity Log to quickly understand who last updated an order or trip.

  • Reference timestamps when investigating dispatch or billing questions.
