When to Utilize Notes
The Dispatch Notes feature can be used for various purposes, including:
Reminders: Use notes to remind yourself or others about what should be considered when invoicing for an order or creating driver settlements for a trip
Incident Tracking: Document incidents, reimbursements, or equipment swaps for future reference
Internal Communication: Facilitate communication among dispatch and admin teams by leaving relevant notes about the order or trip, or driver behavior
How It Works
Adding Notes in the Trip Overlay
Access the Trip Overlay
Navigate to the Trip Overlay
There are two tabs: Trip Overview and Notes
Leave a Note
In the Notes tab, dispatchers and admins can select the visibility level from the dropdown menu:
Dispatch Only: Visible only to dispatchers and admins
Dispatch and Drivers: Visible to dispatchers, admins, and drivers
Type your note and click the arrow icon to post it
Notes are treated as thread-like entries for reference and context, and no notifications are sent when a new not is posted
Adding Notes in the Order Details Overlay
Access the Order Details Overlay
Navigate to the Order Details Overlay
There are two tabs: Order Overview and Notes
Leave a Note
In the Notes tab, by default, the visibility is restricted to dispatchers and admins
Type your note and click the arrow icon to post it
Any notes left on the trip will also appear here, ensuring all notes for the order are consolidated
Deleting Notes
Who Can Delete Notes:
Only dispatchers and admins can delete notes
Drivers cannot delete any notes
How to Delete a Note:
Click the three dots menu next to the note you want to delete
Select Delete
