How to Dispatch a Trip to a Driver

Dispatching a trip to a driver can be done multiple ways, whether immediately after creating a load/order or through the Dispatch section.

Dispatching a Trip After Creating a Load/Order

  1. Create the Load/Order

    • Populate the Driver field in the Dispatch section when creating the load/order

  2. Share Order Modal

    • After clicking the Create button, the Share Order modal will appear

    • Choose to send the trip details via text message or email

    • If you do not want to dispatch the trip yet, you can click Skip, otherwise, click Share to send the trip details to the driver


Dispatching a Trip from the Calendar View

  1. Navigate to the Calendar

    • From the side navigation menu, click on Dispatch and then the Calendar tab

  2. Assign a Driver

    • In the calendar view, trips without a driver will appear in the top half of the calendar

    • Hover over the trip you want to assign, and a plus icon will appear

    • Click the plus icon to open the Dispatch Info pop-up, where you can assign a driver, carrier, truck, or trailer

    • Click Save, and the Share Order modal will appear, allowing you to send the trip details via text message or email


Dispatching a Trip from the All Trips Tab

Uncovered Tab

  1. Navigate to Uncovered Trips

    • From the side navigation menu, click on Dispatch and then the All Trips tab

    • Select the Uncovered sub-tab to see trips without an assigned driver or carrier

  2. Assign a Driver

    • Hover over the driver field of the trip you want to assign, and an arrow will appear

    • Click the arrow to open the Dispatch Info pop-up, where you can add a driver

    • Once a driver is assigned, the trip will be removed from the Uncovered tab

All Trips Tab

  1. Navigate to All Trips

    • From the side navigation menu, click on Dispatch and then the All Trips tab

  2. Assign or Change a Driver

    • Find the trip you want to update. Hover over the driver field, and an icon will appear

    • Click the icon to open the Dispatch Info pop-up, where you can edit the driver or add a new driver

    • Upon clicking Save, the Share Order modal will appear, allowing you to send the trip details via text message or email
