How to Add New Drivers

You can add new drivers through the Teams page or while creating or editing a trip.

Adding a Driver

From the Teams Page

  1. Navigate to the Teams Page

    • From the sidebar navigation menu, click on Teams

    • Ensure you are on the Drivers tab in the header

  2. Add a New Driver

    • Click the + New Driver button at the top right corner

    • The New Driver modal will appear

  3. Enter Driver Information

    • Enter the driver's information, including name, email, and phone number

    • If planning to dispatch trip information, ensure to add an email or phone number

    • Add truck or trailer information specific to the driver, if applicable

    • Set up driver pay details

    • If you want to invite the driver to create a Truckbase account, select the checkbox to send an invitation. An email is required to send an invitation.

  4. Save the Driver

    • If the invitation checkbox was selected, an email invitation will be automatically sent to the driver to create a login account

While Creating or Editing a Load or Trip

  1. Create or Edit a Load or Trip

    • Go to the Dispatch section where the driver field is located

  2. Add a New Driver

    • Click on the Driver field to open a dropdown menu

    • Click the blue button labeled + New Driver

    • The New Driver modal will appear

  3. Enter Driver Information

    • Enter the driver's information and click Save


Editing a Driver

From the Teams Page

  1. Navigate to the Teams Page

    • From the sidebar navigation menu, click on Teams

    • Ensure you are on the Drivers tab in the header

  2. Edit Driver Information

    • Find the driver in the table

    • Click the three dots menu next to the driver's row and select Edit

    • Update the driver's information and click Save

While Creating or Editing a Load or Order

  1. Create or Edit a Load or Trip

    • Go to the Dispatch section where the driver field is located

  2. Edit Driver Information

    • Click the pencil icon next to the driver's name

    • Update the driver's information and click Save
