Ensure TryNow orders flow through your WMS or your 3PL company for fulfillment

Updated over a week ago

TryNow orders will have different payment statuses than regular buy now orders. They will either be in “Authorized” or “Partially Paid” payment status in Shopify. So you will want to ensure that your WMS/3PL can fulfill orders with these two statuses.

TryNow orders with insufficient funds or is declined for other reasons will be canceled immediately by our system. It is important to ensure that these canceled orders will not be fulfilled by your WMS/3PL.

To confirm that your WMS or 3PL can ingest TryNow orders with "Authorized" or "Partially Paid" status and will not fulfill canceled TryNow orders, you can send the following email to them:

Hi [insert name],

We're reaching out because we are implementing an app called TryNow. In order to do so, we want to ensure that TryNow orders process correctly with our WMS.

Would you be able to provide any guidance to ensure that the below orders would flow correctly for fulfillment ?

TryNow and Mixed Cart Orders

  • TryNow orders are ingested by your system.

    • TryNow orders have "Authorized" and "Partially Paid" payment status. Could you confirm if these will be ingested by your system?

Canceled TryNow and Mixed Cart Orders

  • Canceled TryNow orders are not fulfilled by your system.

    • TryNow-only and mixed cart (Try and Buy items) orders with insufficient funds will be immediately canceled by TryNow’s system. Can you confirm if your system will prevent these from getting fulfilled?

Other WMS providers TryNow has worked with ensure that the order status logic is filtering correctly or they have used order ingestion delays along with Shopify flows. Let us know if there are any flows or configurations needed to ensure these order scenarios are covered properly.
