Updated over 5 months ago

🧼 TL;DR:

  • Push notifications go to your device (phone or browser)

  • In-app notifications show inside Uniteam

  • You’ll get alerts for new messages, recognitions, comments, and more

📱 What Are Push Notifications?

Push notifications are alerts sent to your mobile device or desktop browser—even if you’re not actively using Uniteam.

You’ll receive push notifications for:

  • New chat messages (1:1 or group)

  • Recognition you receive

  • Comments or replies to your posts

  • Mentions (@yourname)

Make sure notifications are enabled in your phone or browser settings to receive them.

💬 What Are In-App Notifications?

In-app notifications appear inside Uniteam while you're using it—like a badge, alert, or banner. They help you track activity across chats and feeds without leaving the app.

You’ll see:

  • Notification badges on the Connect tab (chats)

  • Badges and “New” markers in Feeds

  • Real-time alerts for mentions, comments, and recognitions

⚙️ Managing Notifications

You can manage your push notification preferences in:

  • Uniteam app settings

  • Your device’s system settings (for mobile push)

In-app notifications are always on and tailored to your activity—no setup needed.

💡 Pro Tip:

Use push notifications for urgency and in-app for context. Together, they keep you informed without overwhelming you.
