Why Can’t I Post in Every Feed or Subspace?

Some feeds and subspaces are set to read-only or limited posting to keep communication focused, accurate, and easy to follow.

🧼 TL;DR:

If you can’t post, it’s likely by design. Certain feeds and subspaces are set up for clarity—not chatter.

🔐 It’s All About Roles & Permissions

Posting access is based on how the feed or subspace was set up and your assigned role.
You might only see the reply or react option because:

  • You’re not a publisher or admin in that feed

  • The main company feed is admin-only

  • The subspace is in “reply/reaction only” mode (default setting)

📁 What’s Reply-Only Mode in Subspaces?

By default, new subspaces are set so only admins can post new messages—everyone else can reply or react.
This is perfect for:

  • Recurring updates

  • Training material

  • Policies or reference content

Admins can allow full messaging anytime by editing subspace settings.

🤝 It’s About Clarity, Not Control

When too many people post in the same space, things get messy—fast.
Limiting who can post helps your team:

  • Find key info faster

  • Avoid repeat questions

  • Stay aligned, especially across locations

🧠 Want to Share Something?

If you have something to post:

  • Ask your manager or feed/subspace admin

  • Use your team’s General Sub Space for flexible, back-and-forth updates

💡 Pro Tip:

Keep high-traffic feeds focused.
Example: Store-level updates go in the store’s Space. Save the company feed for broad announcements like holidays or policy changes.
