The Stock Counts page provides an overview of the Stock Counts that have been created in your account and allows you to add and import new ones.
At the top of the Stock Counts page, you will see two functional buttons available:
Import Count: Opens the Import Stock Counts page, through which you can upload product count quantities for Stock Counts via a CSV file.
Add Count: Opens the Create Stock Count page, through which you can create a new Stock Count.
Review your Stock Counts
To review the Stock Counts that exist in your account or have the opportunity to create one, navigate to Inventory > Transactions > Stock Counts. You'll then be directed to a page that, by default, will list every Stock Count, in every status, that has been created.
You can filter the Stock Counts page using the two filter fields displayed:
Status: Filters to display Stock Counts currently in either In Progress, Completed, or Deleted status.
Warehouse: Filters to display Stock Counts for the selected warehouse.
Stock Counts column descriptions
The fixed columns displayed in the Stock Counts page provide an overview of the Stock Counts listed. The details displayed per Stock Count are described in the table below.
Stock Counts column header | Description |
Stock Count Number | Displays the Stock Count's unique transaction number. Click on the Stock Count number to open the Stock Count. |
Stock Count Name | Displays the name given to the Stock Count, if provided. Click on the Stock Count Name to open the Stock Count. |
Warehouse | Displays the name of the warehouse the Stock Count is conducted in. |
Status | Displays the current status of the Stock Count, either In Progress, Completed or Deleted. |
Start Date | Displays the date the Stock Count was created. |
Number of Products | Displays the total number of products included on the Stock Count. |
Count Progress | Shows how many products have a Count Quantity on the Stock Count, out of the total number of products included on the Stock Count. |
Report on Stock Counts
When a Stock Count is completed, any variance found between the product's current SOH in the Stock Count's warehouse and the count quantity provided in the Stock Count will create a Stock Adjustment to update the product's current warehouse SOH to match the counted quantity for that warehouse.
For a breakdown of all the adjustments that have occurred due to a Stock Count being completed, go to Reports > Inventory > Transaction Enquiry and run a report with Stock Take Adjustment selected in the Transaction Type filter. The Transaction Enquiry will give a per product breakdown of the quantity and value adjusted in your inventory per Stock Count.
