1. Authentication
Unplex uses Single Sign-On; no separate password is required. Login is at app.unplex.ai, using an existing Google, Microsoft personal, or Microsoft work/school account.
Warning: two-factor authentication is mandatory for all accounts and is configured on first login. Login cannot proceed without it.
2. Product Tour
Following first login, a guided product tour covers the main areas of the platform: AI Workspace, Projects, and the Word Add-in. The tour takes approximately three minutes and can be replayed at any time from the Help menu.
3. Initial Setup
Initial setup consists of five steps, in the following order:
3.1 Create a Project
From the dashboard, click New Project. Provide a name and set the visibility to Private (owner only) or Shared (visible to invited team members). All analyses, research queries, and document uploads in Unplex are contained within a project — see How to Create and Manage a Project.
3.2 Connect Cloud Storage
Under Project Settings → Integrations, connect a cloud storage provider: SharePoint, OneDrive, Google Drive, or Dropbox. This allows Unplex to access documents directly from existing storage, without a manual upload step.
Note: for SharePoint, Microsoft 365 credentials and read/write permissions on the relevant document libraries are required. See Connecting Cloud Storage.
3.3 Invite Team Members
Under Settings → Members, invite colleagues by email. Each member requires two role assignments:
Account role: Owner, Admin, or Member — governs workspace-wide permissions. See Account Roles.
Project role: Owner, Editor, or Viewer — governs permissions within a specific project. See Project Roles.
3.4 Install the Word Add-in
The Word Add-in integrates Unplex into Microsoft Word. It is installed from the Microsoft AppSource marketplace or via the Download Editor button inside the Unplex app. See How to Install the Word Add-in.
3.5 Run the First Analysis
With a document open in Word (Add-in active) or uploaded to a project, a question can be submitted or a contract review triggered from the AI Workspace. Unplex returns a structured, source-backed assessment; no output is produced without a traceable source (see What is Unplex?, Section 1).
4. Architecture Reference
For the automation model underlying every analysis (Assistants, Agents, Workflows), see How Unplex Works: Assistants, Agents, and Workflows.
5. Support
Support is available via the Help Center or by contacting support@unplex.ai.
