Overview
This guide explains the Shopgoodwill channel options and overrides available at the point of listing to Shopgoodwill. Understanding how these options work is key to creating an effective Shopgoodwill listing.

How to View Channel Options and Overrides
Channel options and Overrides allow additional options for how your Shopgoodwill listing is priced, and they provide control over the start time and listing duration.
đĄOperational Tip: Your listing strategies and default Shopgoodwill Admin settings will automatically fill out these details, but they can be overridden at the point of listing.
Scroll to the bottom of the listing page when creating or editing a listing to see the channel options tab
By default, the listing page shows the Channel Options. Click âOverridesâ to move to that tab. Learn more about overrides here
Channel Options
Channel Options are used to control specific fields in the Shopgoodwill Listing store and can be used to override default settings from a listing strategy
Category: Override the category selected when first creating the listing
Seller Private Description: Change the default private description visible in the Shopgoodwill seller portal. We recommend leaving this set to the SKU
Auction Start: Choose between listing immediately or scheduling a listing for a future date
Auction Duration: Change the default listing duration set in either the listing strategy or admin settings
Starting Bid: Set the starting bid for the auction
Bid Increment: Set the bid increment for auction listings
Reserve Price: Set the reserve price for auction listings. If this minimum amount is not met, the listing will end without a sale
Buy Now Price: Adds a Buy Now option to the listing. To create a buy now listing without an auction, the start price and Buy Now price must be identical
Stock Quantity: Creates a multi-quantity listing. Leave as zero for auctions
Handling Price: Changes the default handling price buyers will pay
Shipping Price: Changes the default shipping price. Set to zero for calculated shipping
No Combined Shipping: Prevents the listing from being combined at checkout

Overrides
Overrides are fields that will change the title or description that are automatically filled out while listing a product. Clicking on the padlock icon to the right of each field allows manual adjustments to the title or description.
Title: This will overwrite the tile created during the initial listing process if it needs additional changes
Description: This will overwrite the Lister product description. Similar to the Title override, it will allow the Shopify listing to contain a different description than the description given to the product in Lister
