🎯 What you need
When connecting your Instagram to Foam, there are three requirements:
Your Instagram account must be a Professional account (Business or Creator)
Your Instagram account must be connected to a Facebook Business page
Your Facebook Business page must be managed by your personal Facebook account
If any of these criteria aren't met, the connection process will fail. This checklist ensures you're perfectly prepared to link your Instagram account to Foam. 🌟
✅ Checkpoint 1: Professional Instagram Account
Only Professional Instagram accounts (Business and Creator) have access to Instagram Insights; they are not available to Personal accounts. Do the following to check your account:
From your Instagram app, select the Profile tab at the bottom right (the icon with your profile image).
Next, tap on the hamburger icon in the top right and look for the Insights option:
If you see Insights, continue to Checkpoint 2:
If you do not see the Insights option, you will need to convert your account to a Business or Creator account before you can continue. We've got you covered with step-by-step instructions:
✅ Checkpoint 2: Check if your Instagram is connected to a Facebook Business Page
To check if your account is linked to a Facebook Business page:
From your Instagram app, select the Profile tab at the bottom right (the icon with your profile image).
Next, tap the Edit Profile:
Scroll down to the Profile information section (Public business information for Business accounts).
Here's what you need to look for:
If your Instagram is already linked to a Facebook Business page, you'll see the name of the page right next to Page. Make a note of it, and you're ready to move on to Checkpoint 3:
If your account is not linked to a page, you will see Connect or Create next to Page. You'll need to link your Instagram account to a Facebook Business page before you can continue:

✅ Checkpoint 3: Check if your Facebook Business Page is managed by your personal Facebook Account
As you will make your connection to Foam from your Facebook account, your Facebook account needs to have admin rights to the Facebook page to which your Instagram account is connected. If it doesn't, your Instagram account will not be displayed during the Foam connection process (and you won't be able to connect).
How to check:
Log in to your Facebook and select Pages in the left-hand menu. Alternatively, you can click this link to access Pages.
You will now see a list of all pages your Facebook account manages. Look for the page you noted down in Checkpoint 2, click on the ellipsis icon (...) and select Switch Now:
From the Manage Page menu, select Settings:
Click Linked Accounts:
On the right-hand side, if you see your Instagram account details and avatar, you're ready to connect to Foam. 🎉
If you do not see your Instagram account details and avatar, this is not the Facebook page you noted in Checkpoint 2. Please repeat this section and select the page from Checkpoint 2.
