Why Reconnection Matters
There are a few reasons your TikTok account might disconnect from Foam. It could be due to an error with your connection or your TikTok permissions simply require updating.
Maintaining the connection between your TikTok and Foam is crucial to ensure you have access to your most recent content and metrics. Once you reconnect, you or your Talent Manager can use your real-time data to share with brands, win deals, and retain repeat client business.
It's worth noting that Foam is connected to the official TikTok API, so your data is always secure.
TikTok Reconnection Process
For a seamless reconnection process, we recommend performing these steps using your laptop:
1. Log in to your Foam account.
2. You'll be directed to the Reconnect your platforms page β select Reconnect TikTok:
π Alternatively, you can reconnect your TikTok via Tools >> Platform Connections >> Reconnect TikTok:
3. A pop-up message will appear, prompting you to log in to your TikTok account β we recommend selecting the QR code method. For more details, check out this article.
**If no TikTok window opens, ensure no pop-up blockers are enabled. Also, if you are already logged into TikTok, your browser may automatically take you to the next step.
4. When asked to authorize the connection, make sure the correct TikTok account is displayed here and press Authorize:
If you have multiple TikTok accounts and your incorrect account appears on the screen, click Switch account and log in to the correct account before pressing Authorize:
5. That's it! Your TikTok should now show as connected on your screen:
