Pushing LinkedIn Ad Engagement to the CRM

A how-to guide on connecting LinkedIn Ad engagement data to your CRM.

Updated over a year ago

Introduction

Userled enables you to enrich your CRM accounts with LinkedIn Ad engagement data for reporting and scoring. You’ll be able to see ad engagement across your key accounts and easily measure your impact.

Once you have connected your LinkedIn Ad account and CRM to Userled, you’re ready to start pushing LinkedIn ad engagement data to your CRM.

Setting this up is easy and, as long as you have admin permissions on your CRM, will be a breeze. This article shows you how to set up syncing Userled with your CRM step-by-step.

Step 1

Create custom fields for each engagement type for data mapping. We recommend creating 9 custom properties as there are 3 fields from LinkedIn being pushed (Impressions, Clicks, Engagements) over 3 time frames (7D, 30D, 90D).

You should name your properties the following (relevant to both HubSpot and Salesforce):

  • LinkedIn Impressions 7 Days

  • LinkedIn Impressions 30 Days

  • LinkedIn Impressions 90 Days

  • LinkedIn Clicks 7 Days

  • LinkedIn Clicks 30 Days

  • LinkedIn Clicks 90 Days

  • LinkedIn Engagements 7 Days

  • LinkedIn Engagements 30 Days

  • Linkedin Engagements 90 Days

If HubSpot is your CRM follow Step 1 in this guide.

If Salesforce is your CRM follow Step 1 in this guide.

Step 2

Create a property group in your CRM called ‘Userled ABM Engagement’.

Property groups are used to identify related properties within an object. You can create custom groups, in addition to the default property groups.

If HubSpot is your CRM you should follow Step 2 in this guide to create a property group.

If Salesforce is your CRM follow Step 2 in this guide to create the alternative.

Step 3

Navigate to the LinkedIn integration page in Userled and follow the steps provided to connect your LinkedIn ad account.

Step 4

Go to the Userled integrations page, click on 'Manage' your CRM integration and configure the CRM integration to push the LinkedIn data to the CRM.

Conclusion

You should be setup and ready to see the benefits from pushing LinkedIn ad engagement data to your CRM.

If you are unsure on any of these steps or having trouble finalising the integration, reach out to your Customer Success Manager for help.
