Understand how to get more identified traffic flowing into Userled

Updated over a week ago

Userled automatically deanonymizes the company and people visiting your website and Userled experiences. Additionally, using Cookieless Fingerprinting, Userled monitors the engagement of key accounts across your website domains. Cross-domain linking allows Userled to merge the visitor profiles of one person as they visit your multiple domains.

Identity profiles

Userled integrates with audience data sources such as your CRM to enable you to build identity profiles based on 1st party data and stitch associated identities across your CRM and GTM stack to create a unified profile of your key accounts and contacts.

You can monitor their activity across domains and throughout your GTM stack and use this interaction data to deliver personalised, omni-channel experiences.

Identity profiles can be found under the Prospects dashboard within Userled. You can monitor engagement for all your key accounts as well as activity of individual contacts.

Identity resolution

When a someone visits a web page that is monitored by Userled (either your website with the Userled SDK installed or a Userled asset), Userled will:

  1. Check whether this visitor already has an associated fingerprint, otherwise

  2. Generate a unique fingerprint for the visitor

  3. Attempt to de-anonymise the visitor’s identity both at the account level and the contact level

  4. Associate the website visitor to account and contact profiles in your CRM that match this visitor’s identity

  5. Track the visitor’s activity across all your domains

  6. Provide reporting on the visitor’s activity and attribute their activity against deal progress and revenue to measure ROI

  7. Signal sales of any relevant activity and recommended actions to take

Our de-anonymisation logic checks a few criteria to determine how best to uncover the visitor’s identity. De-anonymisation strategies are ranked based on accuracy

  1. Contact-level tracking links: a Userled member generated a contact-level tracking link that the visitor visited

  2. Account-level tracking links: a Userled member generated an account-level tracking link that the visitor visited

  3. IP reveal: We enriched the visitor’s IP to match them to an account. This account can then be matched to an account in the CRM

We are continuously adding new de-anonymisation strategies to make our identity layer more robust.

💡 You must install Userled’s Client SDK on any website domain for which you desire to create tracking links.

Tracking links

Tracking links play an integral role in uncovering traffic from your key accounts.

When you create an experience that targets a list of accounts or contacts, Userled creates a tracked link for each target.

When an anonymous visitor clicks a tracked link, the visitor’s identity is uncovered and tied to their associated identities across your CRM and GTM stack to create a unified profile and monitor their activity across domains and throughout your GTM stack.

Generating and distributing tracking links

A tracking link can be created for any web asset. Tracking links can be used to uncover website traffic both at the contact level and account level.

To generate a tracking link, you simply need to:

  1. Select the targets contacts (or accounts) to generate an experience for

  2. Select the asset you wish to use to generate experiences for your targets

  3. Generate the experiences. Userled will generate a unique tracked link per target.

  4. Userled enables you to distribute the generated links across your GTM stack

    1. Sync to CRM and outreach providers to use in outbound and marketing campaigns

    2. Create hosted links under a subdomain of your choice to maintain your domain authority

    3. Sync to ad providers for track target ads audiences

    4. Manual and CSV export to support any custom setup

Audience integrations

Userled integrates with audience data sources such as your CRM to enable you to create tracked links for individual contacts and accounts in your CRM.

When an anonymous visitor clicks a tracked link, the visitor’s identity is uncovered and tied to their associated identities across your CRM and GTM stack to create a unified profile and monitor their activity across domains and throughout your GTM stack.

Clearbit IP Reveal

Userled automatically deanonymizes the company behind a website visitor via our partnership with Clearbit Reveal.

Company deanonymization combined with Userled’s sophisticated Identity Layer can help you reach significance performance in your outbound motion, as well as help accelerate existing deal cycles.

Identify Email Recipients

Userled is able to detect when a user clicks a tracked link to your website from an outbound or marketing email. You can use this feature to collect identities from any clicks to your outreach messages.

This integration often leads to a boost of 20~30% net new identities to your Userled workspace, allowing you to understand how your email prospects are interacting with your content and product.

Userled will also report all UTMs that drove the user to interact with your website from an email.

[Coming soon] HubSpot Tracking Pixel

Userled automatically integrates with the HubSpot tracking pixel when both HubSpot and Userled are loaded onto the same page, allowing you to track how a HubSpot Contact interacts with all your web properties that are instrumented with Userled.

Note: You need to instrument your website with the HubSpot Pixel Tracking in order to connect identities between Userled and HubSpot.
