What Happens After Submitting A Before You Dig Partners Ticket?

Once you have submitted all the ticket details and marked out the location on the map, you will be able to click the Submit button at the bottom of the Dig Site Location screen to submit the ticket:

You may be prompted to complete a reCAPTCHA challenge to verify you’re “Not a robot” – click here if you need assistance with this.

The next page is a Summary of the processed ticket:

This displays:

  • The BYDP Ticket Number and Revision Number

  • The Ticket Details

  • The contacted facility owners and status.

Confirm all ticket details and the mapped work area are accurate. If changes are needed, edit your ticket to correct the information.

Clicking New Ticket will immediately take you begin a new request.

Clicking Actions allows you to update the ticket information (Edit), submit subsequent locate requests for additional areas of the same project (Continue Ticket), copy the ticket information into a new ticket (Copy), download the confirmation page, and resend the confirmation page to an email address.

To exit the Summary page, click the X button at the top right of the screen:

Once the ticket is processed, a confirmation email will automatically be sent to you, containing a copy of your ticket receipt:

Once a ticket for a locate request has successfully processed through the system, the identified facility owners receive a copy of your ticket and are notified of your locate request. These facility owners are required to respond to you with information about the underground facilities they own and operate in your work area.

Facility owners require a minimum of 3 - 5 business days notice to respond to your locate request. Review the ticket types to see the notice period for your ticket type. You should receive a response prior to the Work Start Date on your ticket.
