Step 1 - Log in

Click 'Sign Up' if you're a new user, or 'Sign In' if you have an existing V1 PRO account. If you've forgotten your password, click 'Forgot Password?' and enter your email to receive a password reset link.

You can sign into V1 PRO and V1 COACH if you're an existing customer. Ensure you're using the same email address for your V1 PRO account to transfer your content seamlessly. If you need assistance, contact us at customersuccess@v1sports.com.

Step 2 - Get to Know the Home Tab

This is the easiest place to find your most recent content.

The home tab has seven folders:

V1 Featured:

a. Getting Started: Tap this to access instructional videos on using the app.

b. Models: Leads you to a collection of swings for viewing and analysis.

My Videos: Contains videos you've recorded or imported into the app.

My Sessions: The app groups your videos by practice session automatically.

Sent by Athletes: This section contains swings sent by your athletes via the V1 GOLF or V1 BASEBALL app. You can either accept the video for analysis or reject it. Videos disappear from this folder once analyzed and are moved to the next folder:

Sent Lessons: All the lessons you've analyzed and sent to your athletes are stored here.

Saved Lessons: This is where all the lessons you have saved for later are kept.

My Drills: Drills are pre-recorded instructional videos. To upload one, simply tap the + icon, choose the video from your camera roll, give it a name, and click 'Save' in the top right.

At this time, drills have a 5-minute length limit. If you need to upload a longer video, please reach out to customersuccess@v1sports.com for assistance.

Step 3 - Get to Know the Athletes Tab

The 'Athletes' tab is the best place to manage your students and their content.

To add an athlete, click the '+' icon at the top of the screen. Fill in the athlete's name and tap 'Next.' Type the athlete's email and confirm it. You can add the email later, but you won't be able to capture or send content to the athlete until you add their email address.

Once an athlete is added, tap on their name to enter their profile. All videos and lessons you create for that athlete can be found here. You can update their profile and go directly to video capture from this spot. If you tap on the ellipsis (...) button next to a video under the athlete's profile, you can edit the video details (rename or reassign), analyze the video, and send the video to the athlete.

Step 4 - Record your first video

Tap the 'Camera' icon in the menu, then select the athlete you're coaching. Center the camera on the athlete, leaving enough room to see the entire swing in the frame. Use the optional guide to help set up your shot. Tap the record button to start recording, and tap it again to stop recording. Your camera will automatically reset to record another swing. Take as many swings as you'd like. All the swings you record in one day will be organized into your session folder.

To review the videos you have recorded, click on the thumbnail in the bottom left corner of the screen. From here, you can delete any unwanted videos from the session. To return to the camera and continue recording, tap 'Save and Continue with [Athlete's Name].' Tap' Save and Exit Session to save the recorded videos and exit.'

Step 5 - Analyze your first swing video

From the 'Home' screen or the student's profile in the 'Athletes' section, choose the video you want to analyze. Tap the three dots (...) next to the video, then select 'Analyze.'

Tap the 'Tools' icon to open the Analyzer. Start by trimming your video, or use the pinch-to-zoom gesture if needed.

Use the Draw Tools to add lines and shapes to your video. Remember, when selected, you must use two fingers to apply the box or circle shapes.

Utilize the Compare and Overlay Tools to analyze against a model swing or compare your video with other videos in your library.

Step 6 - Record your first lesson

While you have a video open for analysis, click on the red mic icon to start recording your lesson. You may need to change your device permission settings to allow the V1 COACH app to access your microphone.

Once the lesson is finished, end the recording. You'll then be able to review the lesson before sending it.

You can edit the title of the lesson (recommended), and the athlete it is going to, and include a short description. If you send a lot of lessons, these edits will help your students find lesson content more easily in the V1 GOLF or V1 BASEBALL app.

You can then choose Save for Later or Send to Athlete.

Step 7 - Chat with your athletes

Click the 'Chat' icon in the menu. Then tap the 'Pen' icon to choose an athlete you want to message.

Type your message in the text field and tap 'Send.' Your athlete can read and reply to your message from their V1 GOLF or V1 BASEBALL app. You will also see videos you sent to the athlete in this feed for reference.

To confirm the athlete has read the chat, look for the two check marks. These will turn from white to blue once the chat message has been read.

Step 8 - Check out Model Swing Library

In the 'Home' screen, under 'V1 Featured,' click on 'Models.' You can search for the model's name or use the filters to find a specific swing. Tap the ellipsis (...) icon next to the video, and you can either watch the video by clicking 'Preview' or choose 'Analyze' to use it for a lesson.

If you can't find a specific model swing, email us at customersuccess@v1sports.com.
