🧾 Receipt Settings on Adyen Terminals

Learn how to access and manage receipt settings in Adyen, including printing options, QR codes, and receipt formatting at both the store and terminal level.

This guide explains how partners can configure receipt settings for Adyen terminals.

Receipt settings can be managed:

  • At the store level β†’ applies to all terminals under that store

  • At the terminal level β†’ applies to a specific device


πŸͺ Access Receipt Settings at the Store Level (Recommended)

Follow these steps to update receipt settings for all terminals under a store:

  1. Log into the Adyen Customer Area

  2. Select the correct merchant account in the upper left corner

  3. From the left menu, go to:

    In-person payments β†’ Stores

  4. Search for the Store ID

  5. Select the store


βš™οΈ Update Receipt Settings

  1. You will be taken to the Settings screen

  2. Under the Settings menu, select Receipts

From here, you can configure all receipt-related settings.

With the correct permissions, you will see an edit pencil ✏️ to make changes.


πŸ–¨οΈ Print Receipt Settings

The first section is Print Receipt.

This controls when the terminal prints receipts.

Examples include:

  • MerchantCancelled β†’ prints a receipt when a transaction is canceled by the merchant or customer

  • You can choose to print receipts for:

    • All transaction types

    • Specific events

    • Or none at all


🧾 Additional Receipt Options

You can also configure:

Receipt Image Upload

  • Upload a logo or image to appear on receipts

  • Adyen will provide the required format specifications

QR Code on Receipt

  • Enable or disable printing a QR code on receipts

Receipt Prompt

  • Enable or disable the prompt asking whether to print a receipt after a transaction


🧩 Receipt Layout & Business Information

The Receipt Lines section allows you to customize how receipts appear.

You can:

  • Add header text

  • Adjust formatting and styles

  • Include business information on the receipt

This helps merchants tailor receipts to match their branding and operational needs.

Updates will apply to terminals during their next maintenance cycle

  • Store-level changes apply to all terminals under that store

  • Terminal-level changes override store settings for specific devices

  • Proper permissions are required to edit receipt settings
