Photolog view

Updated over 6 months ago

The Photo Log view offers an improved way to browse, review, and comment on photos from Events — all in one place. Whether your photos are stored in multiple folders or subfolders, this view makes it easy to navigate through them efficiently, without needing to switch folders or settings each time.

What is Photo Log View?

Photo Log view is a layout available under the Photos tab in the Events drawer, where:

  • Photos appear on the left

  • Comments appear on the right

This makes it simple to scroll through photos and add or read feedback without navigating away or opening separate views.

How It Works

Always Available Toggle

You can turn on Photo Log view at any time — even if the current folder doesn’t contain any visible photos. The toggle is always shown in the top-right corner of the Photos tab.

If there are photos in any subfolders, enabling Photo Log will automatically display them in the feed.

All Photos in One Feed

When Photo Log is turned on, the app will automatically:

  • Display all individual photos in the current folder

  • Then unpack and display photos from each subfolder, one after another

This means you’ll see a continuous stream of photos from the folder you’re in and all its subfolders — without needing to switch between folders manually.

Folder Navigation Menu

On the left side of the Photo Log view, you’ll see a folder structure menu. This helps you:

  • Navigate between folders

  • Understand where each photo is stored

When you click on a photo, the right-hand info panel will show you which folder that photo comes from.

Permissions

You will only see the folders and photos you have access to. Any content you don’t have permission to view will be completely hidden from the folder list and photo feed.

When to Use Photo Log View

This view is especially helpful if:

  • You want to review all images related to an Event without switching folders

  • You’re leaving or reviewing comments on multiple photos

  • You’re looking for a more organized overview of media across folders
