Timesheets make it easy for internal installation teams and their managers to track and manage working hours. With a mobile interface for logging time, a web dashboard for oversight, and export options for sharing with HR or finance, this feature simplifies time tracking across projects and teams.
Note: Timesheets are only available for internal employees. Connected Companies cannot use this feature.
1. Logging Time in the Mobile App
Installers can quickly log their working hours directly from the app.
Key Features:
One-click access: A “Log Time” button is available on the home screen.
View past logs: See a list of your previously logged times, grouped by week, with the most recent entries at the top.
Edit if needed: You can edit time logs as long as they haven’t been approved by an Admin. Approved logs are locked, marked with a green tick.
What you can log:
Date (required, cannot be in the future or in an approved week)
Time range (start and end time) or total hours – depending on company settings
Type of time (e.g., Working, Travel, Time off)
Event association (optional, filtered to events for that week)
2. Managing Timesheets on the Web
Managers can access a dedicated Timesheets page to view and approve logged hours.
Views & Customization
Group by: user or project
Sort by: project, time type, or user
Filter by: user, team, project, or user type
Save views: Create personal or shared saved views with your preferred filters.
Weekly Format
Timesheets are displayed in weekly periods (7 days).
The starting day of the week depends on company settings (e.g., Monday, Sunday).
Each row summarizes time logs, with daily breakdowns and weekly totals.
3. Approvals & Editing
Approval ensures accuracy before timesheets are sent to payroll or other departments.
Approve in bulk: A manager can approve all logs for the selected users for a week. Once approved, logs cannot be edited or deleted.
Edit before approval: Non-approved logs can be updated by the installer or manager.
Correction process: If a mistake is found after approval, adjustments must be made in the next unapproved period.
Permissions vary by role:
Admin: Create, edit, delete, approve
Standard: Create, edit, approve
Restricted & View-only: Read-only access
4. Company Settings
Company-level settings ensure Timesheets match organizational needs.
Time logging method: Choose between logging by time range (start/end) or total hours.
Time types: Default options (Working, Travel, Time off) can be renamed or customized.
Payroll week start: Define which day the payroll week begins.
Work week start: Affects team schedules and calendar views.
5. User Drawer – Time Tab
From a user’s profile, managers can view all logged hours in a simple table:
Columns include: Date, hours/time range, time type, and event.
Edit & delete: Available only for non-approved logs (depending on permissions).
Add new logs: Must be done via the main Timesheets page.
6. Exporting Timesheets
To share with HR or finance, managers can export filtered timesheets as a CSV file.
Includes applied filters (user, team, project, date range).
Day columns reflect company date format.
Time logged is displayed in decimal format (e.g., 2.5 hours).
In summary: Timesheets give installers a simple way to log hours, and managers the tools to review, approve, and share time data. With flexible settings, permissions, and export options, Timesheets streamline workforce management across projects.
