Creating a client

How to add a new client to your workspace and fill in the key details.

To create a new client, go to the Clients page in the left sidebar and click Add new client.

Fields in the creation form

The new client form opens as a slide-out drawer. Fill in the following fields.

Client company name

Yes

The name of the company you are doing work for.

Client ID

No

System-generated by default. Can be left blank or set manually.

Client owner

No

The person in your team responsible for this client.

Address name

No

Select from existing addresses or create a new one inline. Only visible if the Addresses feature is enabled for your workspace.

Click Save to create the client, or Save and add another to create it and immediately open a new form.

After creating the client

Once saved, the client opens in the drawer. From here, you can add contacts, link assets, start projects, and attach documents.

FAQ

Can I change the client name after creating it?

Yes. The client name is editable inline from the client detail drawer at any time.

Can I change the client ID after creating it?

Yes. The client ID is editable after creation. Click the ID field on the client drawer to change it.
