Assets are created from the Assets tab on the client drawer. Each asset belongs to a client.
Creating a fixed asset
Go to the Clients page and open the client.
Select the Assets tab.
Click + Add new asset.
Make sure Fixed Asset is selected at the top of the form.
Fill in the fields:
Field | Required | Description |
Asset type | Yes | Defaults to "Location". If your workspace has custom asset types, select the correct one. |
Address | Yes | Select from existing addresses or click + Add new address to create one inline. |
Asset name | Yes | The display name for this asset (for example, "Oxford Street Store"). |
Asset ID | No | System-generated by default. Can be left blank or set manually. |
Access instructions | No | Free text for directions, entry codes, or anything field teams need to get on site. |
Phone | No | Contact phone number for the location. |
Click Save, or Save and add another to create another asset straight away.
Creating a moving asset
On the Assets tab of the client, click + Add new asset.
Select Moving Asset at the top of the form.
Fill in the fields:
Field | Required | Description |
Asset type | Yes | Defaults to "Vehicle". |
Registration number | No | The vehicle plate number. |
Asset ID | No | With a "Copy from ID or Registration number" shortcut. |
Asset name | Yes | The display name for this asset. |
Click Save, or Save and add another.

Can I create an asset without selecting an address?
For fixed assets, no. The address field is required. For moving assets, there is no address field, so this does not apply.
