Closing an incident

How to close an incident and how to view closed incidents afterward.

Close an incident when the problem has been resolved and no further action is needed. Closed incidents are hidden from the default view on the Incidents page, but are not deleted.

Closing a single incident

From the Incidents page:

  1. Find the incident and hover over the row.

  2. Click the checkmark icon on the right.

  3. Confirm in the dialog that appears.

All relevant people on the incident are notified when it is closed.

Closing multiple incidents at once

  1. Select the incidents using the checkboxes on the left of each row.

  2. Click Close incident from the bulk actions bar that appears at the bottom.

  3. Confirm.

Closing an incident is not the same as deleting it. Closed incidents remain in the system and can be viewed by filtering for Closed status on the Incidents page.
