Logging an incident on an event

How to log an incident on an event from the dashboard or the mobile app.

Log an incident on an event when something goes wrong on the job, such as a damaged product, a location that was not ready, missing access, or any other problem that needs to be recorded. You can log incidents from the dashboard or the mobile app.

Logging an incident from the dashboard

  1. Open the event.

  2. Go to the Issues tab.

  3. Click + Add incident.

  4. Select a reason from the dropdown — Damaged Product, Location Not Ready, Weather, Installer Error, Missing Product, or a custom reason your workspace has set up.

  5. Optionally, add a description, mark whether action is required, and assign someone responsible.

  6. Click Save.

Logging an incident from the mobile app

  1. Open the event from your events list.

  2. Tap the Issues tab.

  3. Tap + Add incident.

  4. Select a reason and add any details.

  5. Tap Save.

Mark Action required if the incident needs a follow-up visit or resolution before the job can be signed off. This makes it easier to filter and track open items from the Incidents page.

FAQ

Can I log more than one incident on the same event?

Yes. There is no limit to the number of incidents on a single event. Each one is logged and tracked separately.

Can I add a photo to an incident?

Photos are uploaded to the Photos tab of the event, not directly to an incident. Add any relevant site photos there and they will be accessible alongside the incident for context.

Who can log an incident?

Any team member assigned to the event can log an incident, from both the dashboard and the mobile app. Lite users (installers) can log incidents from the mobile app on events assigned to them.
