Before you start
Sign in at https://pro.oblist.com (current vendor dashboard—not the legacy trade.oblist.com site).
In the sidebar, open Products.
Use + Add Product to choose how to add a listing, or open Shopify Sync Hub when you only need the Shopify connection screen.
1. Add a product manually (or via URL)
Open the add-product flow
Go to Products.
Click + Add Product.
You land on Add a New Product with the subtitle: Choose how you'd like to add your product.
Three tiles are available:
Tile in the dashboard | What it does |
Create Manually | Full control over every field. Perfect for unique pieces. Opens the long manual form at |
Import from URL | Paste a product URL and let AI extract the information. Marked AI / BETA. You must still review and complete Oblist-specific fields. |
Shopify Sync | Connect your Shopify store and sync products directly. Jumps to the same hub as the Shopify Sync Hub button (see section 2). |
A footnote on that page states that AI import may require manual review and that some fields specific to The Oblist must be filled manually.
Manual creation (main path)
On Create Manually, work through the sections of the form (including Price & Inventory with Base Price (all markets)* or Reference Price* when variants exist, inventory mode How do you manage inventory?*, optional Advanced pricing by market, images, shipping, etc.—exact labels appear in the form).
When you are ready:
Save as draft keeps the product in draft so you can finish later.
Submit for Review (with a confirmation step) sends the product for curation (status moves into the review flow, similar to pending review).
Do not expect an instant “live” switch: the curation team validates listings according to platform standards.
Important notes:
Only vertical format images are supported on the website. JPG/PNG/MP4 up to 10 photos + 1 video. Max 20MB per file, 25MP for images.
If your pieces have variants (different dimensions, colors, materials, etc.), please take a moment to read this article in order to ensure to create them correctly.
Upload the product’s user manual or technical documentation so customers can download it directly from the product page (e.g., assembly instructions, care guide, datasheet, certificate of compliance, etc.) in the “User Manual / Technical Notice” section.
2. Connect Shopify and sync products
The Oblist does not use a generic menu entry called Integrations. Shopify is handled in the Shopify Sync Hub.
Open the hub
From Products, click Shopify Sync Hub (outline button with the Shopify icon), or
From + Add Product, choose the Shopify Sync tile.
First-time connection
If you are not connected yet, the page title is Connect Your Shopify, with a short line: Sync your products and inventory in real-time.
Read the on-page instructions (Connect Your Store): you create a Custom App in your Shopify admin (Dev Dashboard) to obtain Client ID and Client Secret, configure the app URL and redirect URL as shown, then paste your Shopify domain and credentials into the form.
Complete the OAuth / connection steps until the header shows Shopify Sync Hub with a Connected badge and your shop name.
If you need help, the hub includes a Get support with connecting your Shopify store card with a link to book a session (Get an Appointment).
After you are connected
The hub shows stats such as Products synced, Last inventory sync, Available to import, and System status.
Tabs (exact names in the UI):
Synced (N) — appears once you have imported products; lists Synced Products imported from Shopify and tied to The Oblist.
Import — browse or search your Shopify catalog, select products, and run the import action.
Activity — recent sync logs (import, inventory updates, etc.).
Settings — connection and related options.
Imported / linked items are often created as draft Oblist products until required information is complete. After linking, the product toast explains that you should review and complete missing information before submitting for approval.
Use Products to open the draft, finish fields, then submit for review like any other listing.
Inventory changes can sync automatically according to your connection; always verify counts on the platform after bulk operations.
3. Best practices on the platform
Descriptions and images: align with Oblist expectations to avoid review delays.
Pricing: use Base / Reference price as guided in the form; open Advanced pricing by market when you need per-market prices.
Inventory: keep fixed stock quantities accurate; use made to order only when that matches how you produce the piece (see inventory help articles).
Shopify: import only what you intend to sell on The Oblist; fix mapping warnings (for example “Complete info to activate sync”) shown on product cards when applicable.
Curation: new or materially changed listings stay subject to team review—please refer to this help article on curation for more information on how edits are managed following approval.
