Boost vs Premium — and what you pay

The Oblist Ads has two tiers. Both are paid on success only and always capped at 40% — the difference is how prominently your pieces are placed.

The two tiers

Tier

Commission added

Placement

Boost

+3 points

Lifted above non-featured pieces

Premium

+5 points

Placed ahead of Boost-tier pieces

“Points” are added to your standard commission. Example, for a vendor at 30%:

  • Boost → 30% + 3 = 33% on featured sales

  • Premium → 30% + 5 = 35% on featured sales

What you actually pay

  • Nothing upfront. No fixed fee. No budget to set.

  • You only pay the higher commission on the pieces you feature, and only when they sell. No sale, no cost.

  • Your total commission never exceeds 40%. If your standard rate is already close to the cap, the increase is reduced so you’re never billed above 40%.

One tier at a time

The tier you choose applies to every featured piece. You can’t run some pieces at +3 and others at +5. If you switch tier, all your active pieces move to the new tier (their countdowns aren’t reset), and any piece you remove from the selection is paused.

Which tier should I pick?

  • Boost is a solid lift for more visibility.

  • Premium is for pieces you really want at the top — it outranks Boost-tier pieces in the same results.

If your standard commission is already at or very near 40%, a higher tier may not add any real lift (you’d hit the cap either way) — in that case the higher tier is shown as unavailable.
