Vic.ai may send you notifications via email and phone for a variety of reasons. This articles details the communications and notifications you may receive and how to enable/disable these alerts.


Communication Subscription Types

Product Release Notes: Communications about enhancements and new features as they're added to Vic.ai.

Feedback Opportunities: We may occasionally send out communications to gather feedback about existing or potential future functionality.

To stop receiving these, unsubscribe from the footer of these communications.


#1: Vic.ai Approval Email Notifications

  1. Approval Email Notifications: Every time an invoice is awaiting your approval, you will receive an email with a summary of the invoice awaiting your approval.

    1. These are off by default, enable them to receive email notifications.

  2. Pending Approval Summary Email: On a daily basis, if there are approvals waiting on you, this email will be generated.

  3. Rejected Approval Email: If you initiated approval for a rejected invoice, an email will be sent to you with the rejector and any comments made by them.

Notification Frequency

#1: Update Settings via Web

Under the User Menu, select Settings and then update the notifications as desired.

  1. Notification per Invoice: Receive an immediate notification for invoices awaiting your approval.

  2. Notification per Day: Receive a daily summary of invoices awaiting your approval.

  3. App Notification per Invoice: A push notification is sent to you whenever an invoice going through the approval process awaits your review.


#2: Mobile App Notifications

Inside the Vic.ai Mobile app, you can enable push notifications. These summaries include the:

  • Amount

  • Currency

  • Vendor

  • Company

  • Due Date

Enabling Notifications

When logging into the app for the first time, you'll be prompted to allow Notifications for the Vic.ai application. If you skip the step at this time, you'll need to enter your phone's permissions to allow notification for the Vic.ai app.

Pro-tip: Alternatively, if you can't find these settings in your phone, you can uninstall and then reinstall the Vic.ai application to trigger the prompt again.

If you wish to disable the app notification, you can visit your Profile page, and toggle the App Notification Per Invoice section.
